Naomi talks about her experience of meeting Adam on the set of CSI Miami! (scroll for more!) Every year I go out to LA to visit my family, friends, and hang out at the beach. I have been lucky enough in that both last and this past year I have come across them filming CSI:Miami. Last year I was lucky to meet Rex Linn (Sgr. Tripp), David Caruso (H), Jon Togo (Ryan Wolfe), and Emily Proctor (Calleigh). This year was no different I just keep getting lucky. This past Tuesday, Sept 7th, I was on my way down to San Pedro to watch them film CSI NY and thought I’d just swing by “MDPD” aka the credit union to see if anything was going on. Sure enough two trailers were outside the credit union and a few extras dressed as MDPD cops were chatting amongst themselves. So I parked, walked up to the extras and started talking with them for about twenty or so minutes, they told me that normally everyone loved to have people on set, but that there was an incident just last week with a couple from Holland that wouldn’t follow the staffs instructions and almost were arrested. So to say the least it was a pretty edgy feeling unlike last year where everyone was so welcoming. While talking with the extras I saw David out of the corner of my eye walk from his trailer inside the credit union, a bit later he walked out back to his trailer shortly thereafter out walks Adam from the credit union back to his trailer….I looked at one of the regular extras and he asked if I wanted to met Adam or David and I was like “Yeah, I’d love to meet Adam” so Bill (one of the regular extras) went and found a PA to ask if Adam would be able to come out and meet a fan from Chicago.

Of course Adam came out and we chatted for about 15-20 minutes and took a few pictures. Adam wanted to know how long I was in town for because since what they were currently filming was a “closed set” he thought it’d be nice if I could come back and watch them actually film. The actual security guard on set told Adam and I that Friday they would be back at the Credit Union doing exterior filming and that I should come back then. Adam was super wonderful, very touchy feely kind of guy i.e. lots of hugs, extremely down to earth, and when I was talking with him continually kept eye contact with me. A highlight for me was seeing Adam in his glasses (he took them off for the pictureL) because I think it makes him look even sexier. As you all can imagine I was pretty excited after meeting him and have to give credit to three of my dearest friends for dealing with my minor freak out via text message and phone. LOL

Friday I went back to set early in the morning, 930am stayed and watch them film outside the credit union until lunch break which was called around 1230, and then I came back (after I went and got lunch myself) when there break was over, post lunch call time was 140pm. Around 4pm I drove around to the other side of the Credit Union because they had moved the shooting locations and I didn’t want to get my car towed since I had been parked pretty much all day at the hotel that sits across from the credit union, and when I was driving to park I saw Adam walking from his trailer to where the filming crew had setup. He saw me and said Hey! And that he would be right over after he made a phone call. So I parked came back and was hanging out Adam and Jon were filming a scene where they were chasing and apprehending a subject. Adam and Jon came back over to their chairs and sat down. I called to Adam and he waved me over. Another security guard when I walked over told Adam that I couldn’t be near them and Adam told him that I was fine. So I got to sit between Jon and Adam and chat some more during their downtime. Around 5pm they were still filming, but because I had dinner reservations with a friend I had to get going, because traffic in LA on a Friday afternoon is pretty brutal. Adam got up out of his chair, gave me a hug, and wished me a great rest of my trip and a safe weekend. He asked if I wanted to take another picture with him, I of course said yes, and asked if Jon could also join us, and of course Adam was like of course, then looked around for Jon briefly, found him, and yelled, “Hey Jon, get over here!” LOL, it was funny. So we took the picture and then I hopped in my car, when I drove past Adam I heard him say, “Bye” again.

It’s unfortunate that two people can ruin the overall experience for the rest of us, but all in all it was pretty awesome. If you ever have the chance to watch them film, you should definitely do so, but just remember these guys work 18-20 hrs a day, the least us fans can do is to be respectful and follow their instructions, after all they are making this show for us.
